Katie McClarty holds a doctorate degree in social and personality psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She leads the Center for College & Career Success at Pearson where she heads a team of researchers in identifying and measuring the skills needed to be successful in college and careers, determining pathways for students to be college and career ready, monitoring student progress, and evaluating effective ways to keep students on track.Read more
Dr. McClarty has knowledge and expertise in the fields of college readiness, gifted and talented education, standard setting, assessment design, computer-based testing, interface design, teacher effectiveness, and next generation assessments. She writes widely in the field and her work has been published in a variety of journals including, American Psychologist, Research in Higher Education, Gifted Child Quarterly and Educational Researcher.
