Kulai Preschool has implemented an Indigenous language program to preserve the local language. Children spend several lessons a week on Indigenous language, with some lessons conducted entirely in language. The program is highly regarded throughout the community, where strong connections have been developed. It is run by both the preschool teachers themselves, and experts from the community.

Kulai Preschool is dedicated to the education of Indigenous children in the local area, including the teaching of the local Gumbaynggirr language. Kulai Preschool has a strong emphasis on community and pride in Indigenous heritage. Local elders have a strong involvement in the preschool, ensuring a truly community-based approach.
