Migrate to Australia

We provide skills assessment services to teachers who wish to migrate to Australia. A skills assessment determines suitability for teacher occupations for Australia’s skilled migration program.

As of 7 December 2024, ACECQA is the assessing authority for the Early Childhood Teacher occupation. If you submitted an application with AITSL prior to this date, your skills assessment will be completed consistent with AITSL’s assessment criteria. For more information, including ACECQA’s assessment criteria, please go to this fact sheet.

AITSL is currently assessing applications received in the week of 30 September 2024. AITSL will be closed from 24 December 2024 and re-opening on 2 January 2025. Assessments may take longer due to a significant increase in application numbers and the holiday closure. Note – we do not take phone queries and do not respond to requests for updates.

Australia is popular for many things – people, beaches, food and wine, wildlife and its vast landscape. Australia is known as a safe country with a friendly and relaxed culture.

If you are considering moving to Australia to teach, or maybe you are already here, we can help you get started on your teaching journey in Australia.

As a teacher migrating to Australia, on a skilled migrant visa, you are required to complete a teacher skills assessment through us. Not all work visas require a skills assessment so you will need to refer to the Department of Home Affairs for more information.
